Let’s be honest, sometimes there’s just no way you’re hopping on that treadmill. Whether it be to avoid injury due to overuse, or just a lack of mental motivation, there are other machines at the gym that can still be just as challenging. Here are a couple of my favorite workouts to complete on the elliptical!
20-30 minute workouts
Here’s one of my favorite elliptical “hill” workouts. You’ll spend 3 minutes climbing what feels like a hill, then 2 minutes recovering. You repeat that 5 minute circuit as many times as you’d like!
Another elliptical interval style workout, this one is a bit more challenging. Two minutes at a fairly high resistance (think “jog”), then two minutes of “running”, then one minute of “sprinting”. Repeat the 5 minute circuit as many times as you’d like again!
