30 Minute Elliptical HIIT Workout

Good morning and happy Friday to everyone! I know that’s such a standard intro, but I really couldn’t think of anything more clever that wasn’t completely nerdy (what’s up buttercup?, hello boys and girls!, what’s shakin’ bacon?)

Moving on…this post may be a bit on the short side because it’s Thursday night and I have to get ready for a hot dinner date tonight :) Can’t complain!

Work today was pretty standard. I’m having a little bit of trouble getting used to these long 10 hour days, mostly with what the heck I should be eating! I felt like I was starving all day. I had my usual go-to breakfast, which for some reason didn’t hold me over as long as usual, because by 10:30 I was ravenous and snacking on some grapes. Lunch was half a sandwich with hummus (no picture), with some Chobani and a sliced nectarine (that I thought was a peach this morning, oops).


It wasn’t long before I was hungry again and needed a pick-me-up…so me and a coworker ventured to Starbucks for a little break.

(please ignore that scary paperwork in the background, I sure as heck do… ;) )

First pumpkin latte of the season people! So delicious. I also snacked on a mini dark chocolate Hershey bar that my coworker so lovingly keeps by her desk.

My latte powered me through a good chunk of the afternoon, but I needed to snack on an apple at the end of the day to get me through my workout.

Work it Out

I drove to the gym after work to squeeze in a quick elliptical workout that looked like this:

This was a sneaky one! At first I was all “oh this is easy I might not even work up a sweat”. But then about halfway through those 1:30 minute high intensity intervals really started to get me! Make sure you’re pushing yourself to go as fast as you can during that minute and a half, then recover during the 30 seconds.

After working up a good sweat, I drove home to do the phase 1 strength 2 workout of body revolution, then I showered and started typing up this post to all of you lovely people!

Now I really do have to get ready for dinner. I’ve been dating this guy for a few months…when is it ok to reveal that my hair is actually a frizzy, wavy disaster naturally? I’m getting tired of straightening it! Haha
