I decided to participate in the WIAW (What I Ate Wednesday) Blog Party! I’m pretty excited because I eat random stuff sometimes so it should be entertaining. (BTW, this is a ‘what I ate Tuesday’ post, as in yesterday).
Does anybody else read WIAW like wee-aww? Rhymes with heehaw?
Work it Out
Anywho, before I jump into what I ate yesterday let’s start with my workout. This is especially appropriate because I went to the gym in the morning again, before eating breakfast, before work, and before opening my eyes. When I tried to tell the gym guy my membership number, all that came out was an indistinguishable croak. I was tired.
If I’m being honest, this workout totally killed me. It doesn’t normally do that, in fact it’s one of my favorites. But my chest was really tight, and I’ve had a cough all week. I think I’m getting sick :-/
I didn’t let it stop me though, and drove home after cardio to do the Week 3 workout of Ripped in 30. When I have time (hopefully this weekend), I’m gonna start planning some new strength/circuit workouts to try. I need to change things up!
Breakfast yesterday was a staple of my weekdays, egg whites with cheddar cheese on some gluten-free cinnamon raisin bread. Delicious! Love the sweet and savory combination. Fresh pineapple on the side.
During some project phone calls in the conference room, I snacked on some strawberries. This is what I like to refer to as a real-life picture. Eating strawberries in the office out of a sandwich bag.
I had one of my favorite (but unfortunately un-photogenic) lunches, buffalo chicken salad.
I was super excited to eat my afternoon snack. Some delicious raspberry flavored Chobani with the Oatmeal Raisin Cookie Granola I made on Monday!
When I got home from work, I only had time for a quick snack before meeting with the bridesmaids to organize and print out the Bridal Shower invitations. This was calling to me:
No seriously though. I ate so many chips, definitely didn’t have room for dinner afterwards! Normally this would be no big deal, but as it happens, these were multi-grain chips. As in multiple grains. As in wheat is most likely (and pretty much confirmed) one of the grains. Rookie mistake Meghan, what were you thinking.
Anyway, we made a great dent in putting the invitations together, and had fun snacking and enjoying a drink or two! (I actually didn’t drink at all, shocker).
After finishing most of the printing, etc., I drove home to finish up the rest of the work. I needed to tie ribbon to the rest of the invitations, then address all the envelopes and put everything together.
Doesn’t sound like that much work right?
Cutting to size and carefully tying 30 bows, hand-writing 50 addresses and 50 return addresses, inserting 50 invitations and 50 note cards into envelopes, and licking and sealing every envelope with a pretty sticker. I didn’t finish until quarter of 1 last night.
But I’m DONE.
Back to WIAW, since I was up so late, my hunger obviously revived itself. So I snacked on some cereal, but didn’t take a picture. I think it was after midnight anyway, so it definitely doesn’t count
