Urban Race Boston 2012

Another jam packed weekend with no time to post, sorry!

Actually, I’m not that sorry, because it was such a great weekend. Amanda, Andrea and I woke up early on Saturday to drive to Boston for the CitySolve Urban Race!

Each team receives a list of 10 clues that, when solved, lead you to a location in Boston. Then it’s your job to go to each location (either by public transportation or foot, no cabs!) and take a picture of your team there.

Basically, we ran frantically around Boston in 85 degree heat, harassing strangers to take pictures of us with miscellaneous objects (a microphone, devil horns) or at random locations (bars, coffee shops).

There were also a few mandatory “challenges”, one of which was flip cup. Our team obviously nailed it.

We didn’t win, but we’re pretty sure we came in the top 20 and may have qualified for the championship in Miami! I don’t know if we’d actually go, but still awesome to qualify!

If there had been a contest for best team name, we totally would’ve won. Team Tracker Jackers. #hungergames

Also would’ve won a best t-shirt contest. Obviously.

After the race, we stayed in Boston to celebrate my friend Vicki’s birthday. Then on Sunday morning, we woke up obscenely early to head to the beach!

It was an absolutely perfect beach day. We went to Nantasket Beach in Hull, MA and the water could not have been more beautiful! Very little seaweed, perfectly clear, and not too cold. It was amazing.

After the beach, we drove back to Providence and stopped for some froyo!

Then I needed to shower and get ready for a hot date. Date #4 with Chandler.

All-in-all, a great weekend. I love summer!
