After my shameful antics on Friday night, I basically sprung out of bed Saturday morning and headed straight to the gym.
Like, arrived at the gym before 8am. Pretty sure I was the only person there under 60. Does that make me crazy? Never mind, I don’t want to know.
I did one of my favorite pbfingers workouts, and it was definitely challenging. Then I followed up my treadmill run with 15 minutes on the elliptical, and drove home to get ripped. It felt great to work hard and work up a good sweat.
After my workout, I was really in the mood for some pancakes. But I also wanted a breakfast sandwich (I want breakfast food all day all the time).
The solution? These brownie batter pancakes!
My version (I used all purpose flour and skim milk) only had 164 calories in the entire batch! Which made about 5-6 smallish pancakes.
These were delicious, super chocolatey and really tasted like brownie batter! They were a bit denser than a normal pancake, but I loved them.
I probably polished off these puppies in under a minute. No joke.
And because the calorie count was so low, I got to have a breakfast sandwich on the side. I made mine with an english muffin, egg whites, and some orange marmalade (which sounds weird and gross but is actually quite delicious).
After breakfast, I spent a good amount of my Saturday afternoon cleaning the apartment. I was sort of celebrating the fact that my other roommate moved out on Friday. I shared a bathroom with her, and she was dirty. Not messy or clutter-y, but dirty. And she NEVER cleaned the bathroom. EVER.
Ah the wonderful world of craigslist roommates.
I was very excited that it was the last time I would ever have to clean up after her. Plus, my friend Vicki was planning on coming to Providence to go out that night, and I was having a few people over so I wanted the place to be clean.
We had one of those randomly awesome nights. There weren’t any expectations, it wasn’t anyone’s birthday, we didn’t go to a special fancy bar. We just had a blast hanging out together. All in all a great Saturday!
Oh, besides the shamefulness that took place once we got home from the bar. I managed to eat my body weight in popcorn, and pretty much finished Andrea’s box of cereal. Terrible roommate etiquette.
